A calming and therapeutic oil, Lavender has been used for centuries. Taking its name from the Latin Lavare, meaning to "to wash", Lavender possesses a clean, pure aroma.

Uses: Used for soothing, healing antiseptic, pain and burn relieving properties. It has properties such as analgesic, anti-depressant, antiseptic, bactericidal, decongestant, to hypotensive and insect repellant. The properties can, however, be best summed up as calming, soothing and above all, balancing. Valuable treatment for colds, coughs catarrh and sinusitis. The most effective form of treatment being a steam inhalation. Lavender oil is also a sedative and used last thing at night will aid sleep.
Aroma: Clean, fresh. Blends well with most oils.
